Even once I hit 50 and actually got to play the expansion Shadowlands this run through, while I saw other players, no one seemed interested in talking or receiving help. I heard all these stories of world Pvp and meeting people questing and making friends and I haven't seen it. It's such a shame because the game is WORLD of Warcraft, and yet it seems like unless it's an expansion based zone, it's empty. I play in a high density RP server and even then, aside from Orgrimmar and Stormwind, I almost never see anyone around the original world. The entire old world feels unpopulated besides the capital cities.
I chose to level in the Cata timeline and the world feels so empty. Leveling in WoW right now to me feels so bland and solitary. I joined WoW because of three things, my love for WoW's lore from the card game Hearthstone (which I played since middle school), the beautiful Battle for Azeroth Cinematic (which made me so hyped to play for the Horde), and my wish to join a fantasy world filled with other players where I can have adventures and make friends and join a guild and have a truly social digital experience. What do you think? Or should we just settle for expecting a 4th entry in the RTS series (which is probably a matter of time).I know I'm probably in the minority as a player that wasn't here for Vanilla, I didn't join before Cataclysm, and I saw the Wrath cinematic years after it was released. For a time, i thought it would be a trilogy.
So for someone like me, seeing the story in a new way would be awesome. It took me 3-4 months of gaming with friends to get to lvl 55-60 with 1 character, and they would be able to play a lot more and speed past me. I have played WoW for 1-2 expansions starting with burning crusade and I never had time to see much of the story. So long as it had the Warcraft story or stories. but it could be a AAA adventure with dialogue, traveling through the world, having a third person action gameplay. I am not sure what the gameplay could be like if it was not a Real Time Strategy title. I think it would be amazing if we got a soft reboot of sorts and told a more cinematic story in that universe/world. The third one was amazing as well as its expansion! I think it is a matter of time until we see the RTS.īut my question is, would you rather get the RTS or something more single player centric in that world ? When I think of Warcraft lore, i think about allllll of the WoW content from the beginning and its stories. Now I know we all would love a Warcraft 4.
